The Finnish Prime Minister does not mince words. Sanna Marin said on Friday, December 2, that Europe was “not strong enough” to stand up to Moscow alone. On a visit to Australia, the leader of the candidate country for NATO membership stressed that Russia’s invasion and occupation of Ukraine had revealed Europe’s weaknesses and strategic errors. “We would be in trouble without the United States,” she pointed out to the Lowy Institute, a Sydney-based think tank.
