Dozens of Drones and Ballistic Missiles Intercepted

After two nights of massive Russian airstrikes, the Ukrainian capital Kiev was rocked by new explosions in the morning. Most of the airstrikes have happened so far at night or during the early hours of the morning.

According to the Ukrainian military, Russia fired a total of eleven “Iskander” missiles, all of which were intercepted by air defenses. Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that rocket debris fell on streets. According to preliminary information, one person was injured. The Russian defense ministry said that the overnight attacks targeted Ukrainian military airfields.

Fire in the Port of Odessa

During the drone attack on the port city of Odessa on the Black Sea, a fire broke out in the port area. The Ukrainian military quickly extinguished the fire, but the impact on grain exports was not clear.

In the western Ukrainian region of Khmelnytskyi, according to the local authorities, a military airfield was attacked. Five aircraft and a runway have been damaged.

The attacks are the 15th wave since the beginning of May and seem designed to keep the civilian population in a state of psychological tension, according to the Civil and Military Administration of Kiev. At least two people were killed, and three others injured in the most extensive drone attacks on Kiev since the start of the Russian aggression against Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian General Staff, 59 Russian drones were identified, and 58 of them were intercepted.
