Guerrero Opens Up and Reveals the Only 3 Brazilian Football Clubs He Would Never Play For

Striker Represents LDU

Guerrero has disclosed the three solitary Brazilian football clubs he would never play for. The player, who made his mark at Corinthians but has also played for clubs like Flamengo, Internacional, and Avaí, currently represents LDU, one of Ecuador’s most renowned teams. At 39 years old, the Peruvian forward was signed by the club after a short stint at Racing in Argentina. Since then, he has played nine matches, scoring a single goal.

Notably, Guerrero could potentially become a champion in the Copa Sudamericana this season. This is because LDU will face Defensa y Justicia from Argentina in the semifinals. If they advance, they will then face the winner of the Brazilian clash between Corinthians and Fortaleza.

At Corinthians, Paolo Guerrero experienced the peak of his career, being a key protagonist in the team’s 2012 Club World Cup triumph.

However, in 2015, the Peruvian left the club after both parties failed to reach an agreement for contract renewal. His destination was Flamengo. Needless to say, the Corinthians faithful were disappointed with Guerrero’s decision. Guerrero reveals the three Brazilian clubs he wouldn’t play for

Nonetheless, during that time, the striker made it clear that he would never play for any of Corinthians’ three main rivals. Let’s revisit his statement, which was echoed by ge: “I wouldn’t play for Palmeiras. I wouldn’t play for any team that is a rival of Corinthians in Sao Paulo.”

Apart from Corinthians and Flamengo, Guerrero has also played for other Brazilian clubs such as Internacional and more recently, Avai.
