Seven tonnes seized in 2022
More and more drugs made in the Netherlands pass through Brussels. And more and more synthetic drugs. The customs officer’s office is full of objects of all kinds, which are used to transport drugs. And very often, it uses the strong way. Sometimes the Ecstasy pills are directly hidden in the packaging boxes. Even more surprising, snowballs, bound for New Zealand, which contain liquid ketamine, a psychotropic trainee that customs officials detect using a scanner. In 2022, seven tonnes of synthetic drugs were seized at Brussels airport.
